Q: How do You get the border icing to not show? Do You put the flooding icing over it? Should my piping and flooding be in the same or different bags?
A: Use one bag/tip. Use a medium consistency icing that can hold it’s outline shape. Fill immediately after making the outline. Push the flooding of icing right into the outline, so it blends well. Use either a #2 or #3 tip to do this, depending on the size of cookie and angles. Pipe the outline leaving a little space to the edge of the cookie. When filling, it is okay if the outline is pushed out a bit.
